After two nights in our little cabin at Big Sur, James and I sped up north through California to Yosemite National Park. When I think of America I think of camping in the woods and boy scouts and sequoia trees. Yosemite has all of those vibes. Think Homeward Bound and Stand By Me and Moonrise Kingdom. There's nothing that can beat the simple luxury of a hot bubble bath, in my opinion. When the cold has seeped into your bones, you've had a long and stressful day, or you need some help drifting off to sleep, a bath is always the answer. After Salvation Mountain, the next (and most gruelling) leg of our US road trip took us to Santa Barbara. I can't remember how long we drove for, but I remember arrivingĀ at 9pm, in the dark.
