These photos are from my trip to Greece at the end of September, before winter really arrived. They’re next in the queue of photos that I have saved up to share with you! So many of the clothes in my (overflowing) wardrobe are perfect for this or that specific occasion. I often buy pieces to complete an outfit that I’ve planned in my head, without really considering how else I might wear it. This vintage dress is not one of those pieces, it’s so multifunctional! It’s the perfect breezy summer dress (the light cotton is really comfortable), it’s modest enough to layer it up to with a jumper and tights for work and it’s interesting enough that I’ve worn it for evening drinks. There are so many peasant style dresses on the high street in the summer but you really can’t beat a vintage original. The quality of fabric and fit is so much better than anything I’ve seen in the high street. I’m aiming to clear out my wardrobe this Christmas whilst I’m staying with my parents so that I’m left with only good quality items like this that I love and I know I’m going to wear again. I find it so hard to let go of clothes but if I haven’t missed it since I moved back out, I’m probably not going to miss it at all. Wish me luck!
It feels strange to be broadcasting these images to you from the depths of December, but hopefully you’ll enjoy a touch of winter sun, complete with white walls and beautiful flowers. How gorgeous is this street?! If I lived in Lindos I would never struggle to find locations to shoot photos, not least because of the gorgeous light quality in and amongst the whitewashed houses. By far the worst thing about living in Scotland is the weather, and specifically, the lack of daylight. I probably moaned to you about this last year but it is noticeably darker up here than when I lived in York. The sun starts to go down at 2 and because my apartment is surrounded by tall buildings, some days I never see any sunlight. It’s so hard to be productive when your sleepy brain’s telling you that it’s night – time for blankets, Netflix and cake! I’m currently longing for a winter break to bring me back to life.
