Okay, so I realise this way of editing photos is a little strange. I just wanted to jazz up my photos a bit! Sometimes realistic-looking backgrounds are boring. This is actually how I edited my profile pictures back in the days of MySpace. Did any of you have (or obsess over) MySpace? In a way I feel like having a blog is just the logical next step. Anyway, James referred to what I’m wearing as my “goth queen” outfit, which I kind of love. I’ve been going for a 70s goth look recently. Mostly because I wear a lot of bell bottoms in the day, and a lot of black at night time. I decided to break up the black with my colourful crochet Sassy World choker. It’s one of my favourite pieces of jewellery – people always ask me about it! I’m also wearing sunglasses in the depths of winter. It’s not sunny, I’m just trying to cover the bags under my eyes that I’ve earnt from lots of early morning train journeys and fighting a nasty cold.
Outfit details: Dress, Pretty Little Thing / Shorts, Topshop (Old) / Top, eBay / Shoes, ASOS / Sunglasses, Vintage / Jacket, Vintage (Paris) / Choker, Sassy World / Coat, Vintage (Charity Shop)
I got this dress from Pretty Little Thing in the sale before Christmas. It took me ages to find something nice to wear underneath it. I think the model was just wearing a pair of knickers, but I’m not sure I could get away with that! It’s a really versatile dress which I love. When it’s cold or I want to be more covered up, I’ve been wearing it with a long sleeved turtle neck underneath. I got this coat before Christmas too. I found it in one of the charity shops on Nicolson Street in Edinburgh, and I think it might be my favourite ever charity shop find! James took these photos for me when I was visiting him in London. We met up with friends for a pub lunch and to see their new flat. It was awesome, but my trips to London are never long enough to fit in everything I want to do!
