I know I know, October ended a whole eleven days ago! I’m a little behind with this October in review post but I still have lots of pretty pictures from my adventures last month that I wanted to share. I’m a bit slow with blogging in general at the moment, I have a lot of uni deadlines right now and I’m finding it hard to keep up with anything that isn’t eating, sleeping or going to the library! October was pretty awesome. At the beginning of the month, my family came to visit me in Edinburgh and we had a lovely weekend doing touristy things like Edinburgh Castle, walking the Royal Mile, visiting “the real Mary King’s close” and eating out lots. It felt like I was on holiday, even though I never went anywhere. A couple of weeks ago I spent the weekend with James, staying in his halls in London. We did a bunch of fun stuff and I also got to see some of my friends from uni who I miss terribly, and had a lovely afternoon with Laila from Tape Parade and Bel from Rags of Love (more photos coming later!) The end of October was obviously halloween! For the night itself I hosted some drinks in my flat, complete with jack o’ lanterns, spiders, hanging bats and lots of vegan cakes and biscuits. October was such a busy (but fun!) month and November has been even busier so far. I’m having a good time and still enjoying my course but boy, am I ready for my deadlines to be over so that I can spend all day watching Christmas films in my pyjamas.
As usual, I blogged about halloween a lot last month. I showed you my spooky front door, blogged my DIY alien costume (Part 1 and Part 2) and shared five of my favourite spooky craft projects from my archives. I wrote about The People’s Climate March that I attended in Edinburgh, shared a DIY for rainbow tassel cushions, posed for some autumnal outfit photos in a graveyard and showed you around my work space. And last but not least, I baked a tasty vegan pumpkin pie!
The good thing about being a slow blogger is that I have a lot of photos on my computer that I haven’t gotten around to posting yet, so stay tuned for a busy blog month! I hope you had a fantastic October
