I finally put some halloween decorations up! I’m not sure that I want to call this a DIY because it’s pretty self-explanatory. I mostly just attached things to my door to make it spooky. I’m going to show you how I did it anyway, just in case you want to do something similar at home! This was very tricky to photograph since I live in a block of flats and my front door never gets any natural light. It’s not the most sophisticated thing I’ve ever made either (I even used poster paint) but it’s halloween so it’s supposed to be a little bit tacky and homemade.
You will need: Two pieces of cardboard, black and orange paint and a paintbrush, scissors and a pencil and some spiders and spider webs! I picked mine up from poundland. They have so much good halloween stuff in at the moment!
Cut a rectangle and a circle from your cardboard that will fit the space on your door! To get a round circle I drew around a plate and then a bowl.
Paint them! To get my letters looking vaguely the same size I drew a little box for each letter to be painted into.
Cover in spiders and spider webs, and blue tack to your door, with the addition of some more webs and plastic spiders.
I hope my neighbours and the postman appreciate my decorating efforts! By the end of the month I expect it will be very spooky around here. Have you put any decorations up yet?
The decoration looks awesome! I have thought of decorating it but its one of those bar doors. Not sure what to use.
This is the cutest thing ever! I’m a halloween lover and I am absolutely going to do these sort of decorations around my house! Thank you for the inspiration!
