My brother took these photos for me when we were visiting my grandparents in Surrey last week. We don’t spend enough time exploring the countryside when we’re there, we’re usually too busy with other things. I really should take the opportunity to go on more adventures in that part of the country though, it’s so pretty and the south of England has a very distinctive atmosphere! This dress is something that I’ve borrowed from my mum. I think it’s supposed to be a tunic top, but it’s just long enough to be worn as a dress! She bought it at her church from a charity called Neema Crafts. Neema Crafts provides work and training for disabled people in Tanzania, and they produce the prettiest African products. As well as this dress I use a tie dye bag, a headscarf, necklaces and hairclips made by them and it’s incredibly reasonably priced. This dress only cost £10! They don’t have an online shop yet, but they will be launching one at the end of the year, so I will let you know when that happens!
Outfit Details: Dress, Neema Crafts / Cardigan, ASOS (Old) / Gilet, ASOS (Old) / Chelsea Boots, New Look / Necklaces, A Gift
I bought both this tassely cardigan and my gilet (it’s called a teddy gilet, I guess cause it makes you look like a teddy bear!) from ASOS a while ago. Neither of them are particularly practical – the cardigan has holes in which does not keep me warm, and usually if it’s cold enough for a fluffy coat like this you want it to have long sleeves too! Worn together however, I think they make a perfect autumnal combination of layers. Perfect for twirling around in a forest The weather is very cool here at the moment and I kind of like it. It’s crisp and refreshing, the leaves are turning orange and it makes me excited for autumn!
I love the outfit and it’s story. As well as your teddy gilet and smile, you babe! Beautiful necklaces too, what a good gift
Love Chelsea
Lovely outfits – will look forward to more from this organization when they’re online! (And agree totally about no sleeves in a heavy-weight garment – if it’s cold enough for it, it’s cold enough for long sleeves!) Totally envy your seeing leaves turn already . . . sigh!

I love when beautiful clothes are also ethical, and that tunic is lovely as a dress on you. That last shot of the meadow, dirt road, and trees is gorgeous! It doesn’t feel quite like autumn yet in Boston, but the evenings are beginning to get chilly – how wild that you’re already seeing orange leaves.

This looks like a very pretty spot to explore! We’re just beginning to feel the hint of autumn in the air, too–I can’t decide if I love it or if I’m horrified that summer is coming to an end already!
Jess you look so lovely in that dress! Also that cardigan reminds me of one of my favourite jumpers as a teen – it was black and like large wooly fishnet so it also had holes and wasn’t practical at all in cold weather…. but I LOVED IT so much for years xxxx
Very chic outfit. Love the print dress and the cardigan. You are so lovely as always.

I love your teddy! I would live in that gilet if I had it!
