How cute is this antiques shop front? I spotted it when we were in Edinburgh a week ago and thought it would be a fun place to take photos. Every time I’ve walked past it’s been closed, but I just love the old fashioned signs. It was a little strange taking these photos in a city centre with lots of people walking past, watching. I’m so used to taking photos at home in Leicestershire where I can just wander to the nearest bit of peaceful countryside. I guess I’d better get used to having an audience if I’m going to continue doing outfit photos after my move to Scotland! It feels like I’m constantly talking about Edinburgh on this blog (and in real life…) so I apologise for that, but it’s only a week and a half until my move in date! Anyway, Gemini Woman contacted me and asked if I wanted to choose something from the Great Plains A/W collection and I chose this lovely shirt. A good comfy long sleeved black top is such a wardrobe staple. I wear mine with everything! Mom jeans, dungarees, bell bottoms, hippy skirts… you name it. This one is super comfy and I love the sheer v neck and the 3/4 length sleeves. Gemini Woman is based in Stratford upon Avon but you can also shop online. They have a really good sale on at the moment, and the new Great Plains collection has some lovely basics and some gorgeous prints. You know how much I love a good print!

I bought my skirt from one of those super cheap vintage shops in Paris near the falafel shops. This was back when I had orange hair so it must have been over three years ago. I still wear it a lot. I love the high waist and it’s just the right length for a skirt like this – it’s short enough to be able to successfully twirl in but it still covers my pants. I’m only 5″8 but it’s shocking how many skirts and dresses are too short for me! I also bought my coat during that time when I had orange hair. It’s second hand from eBay and it has elephants on it which is really all you need to know. Elephants are the best!
Super chic outfit. Perfect combination and every single pieces on you are very cool. LOVE it.
Your skirt is beautiful, such a gorgeous print! xx
Hi Jess, thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m finishing up my re-design, so I’ve been a bit out of the social part of blogging..
Your blog is so fun! I love this look, very bohemian yet elegant. The black blouse with it’s modern geometric are an amazing contrast to the homespun skirt. Love it! XO-Alexandra

I love this patchwork 70s-inspired look! The booties and the detail of the top are nice modern touches. The whole look together has so much personality, which is a wonderful thing
That storefront is gorgeous, too!
