A snap from my holiday in Corfu!
I spent a weekend visiting my good friend Hayley in London, and we got a photo with a headless man!
July has been so hot that I’ve been working from the garden. Spot the bunny rabbit!
This summer seems to be slipping by without me noticing. Yet another month has passed! This is the first summer that I’ve spent without a school/university style summer holiday. I haven’t been doing as many lazy day summer activities as I had hoped, partly because all of my home and uni friends are in different parts of the country, and partly because I’ve been really busy working on my etsy shop. I have managed to squeeze in a lot of travelling though and it’s been an awesome month! At the beginning of July I spent a weekend hanging out in London with my friend Hayley and my cousins. I met up with old school friends, went to a cheesy club night, wandered along Portobello market and partied for my cousin’s birthday. It was really fun but man, London is expensive. James spent some time hanging out at mine and he joined me and the rest of my family for a holiday in sunny Corfu! Most recently I travelled up to Edinburgh to try and get some furniture into my new flat. I love being in the city, but furnishing a flat is tiring! I did not enjoy carrying the sofa up the stairs.
It’s been quieter than usual on the blog recently, but I’ve still been posting! I wrote about a dress I made with White Tree Fabrics and some summer shorts that I made for James. I’ve talked about my big hair and worn a floral maxi dress from French Connection. I shared a recipe for banana based ice cream, talked about my garden and interviewed one of my favourite ever bloggers, Chloe from Of North.
I suspect I’ll be spending a lot more time in Edinburgh next month trying to get the flat ready to move into. Yay! Can I tell you a secret? I’m actually really excited about autumn and halloween already. I think it’s because I’ve been working on A/W for Shop Jessthetics and I had so much fun working on autumn themed projects for the blog last year. I know it’s early but I think I know what costume I’m going to make. At least I’m prepared!
Ooh I am always excited about autumn and Halloween, I think its my fave holiday. I’ve been travelling loads this month too, I do love London but yeah – Dat shit is expensive! Also, I nominated you for the Liebster Award over on my blog, so go check out my latest post to find out the rules and my questions, look foraward to your post.
