It’s finally getting a little bit warmer here in Scotland so I have buried my gloves and woolly hats at the bottom of my drawer and pulled out my “summer jackets”. This denim jacket is one of my faves! It reminds me of sitting in pub gardens whilst the sun goes down and picnics in the park. I bought it from eBay years ago and took it in at the sides as it was far too big for me! The top and skirt are more recent vintage finds that I picked up in Leicester. The blouse is from the Sue Ryder vintage shop which might be my favourite ever charity shop. Everything in there is vintage and it’s so reasonably priced, I buy something every time I go in! Even my Mum found a top that she loves and she rarely buys clothes for herself. I love going vintage shopping with people who were alive in the 60s/70s. My Mum often remarks that she had “something just like it” when she was a teenager, but unfortunately for me she’s given most of it away!
I’m hanging out in Princes Street gardens in these photos. It was the first time I’d visited the part of the gardens near the castle and it was gorgeous. It was surprisingly quiet and tranquil given that it’s right next to the busiest shopping street in Edinburgh. I’d recommend it for a walk or a good old lunchtime nap!
