I’ve had these photos on my computer for a month but I only just got around to editing them. Bad blogger! Last month I spent a weekend staying with James in his student halls in Bloomsbury, and this is what I wore on Saturday. Bloomsbury is such a gorgeous area of London. There are so many trees, wide streets and beautiful buildings! I imagine it’s very expensive to live there as a non-student but it would be lovely. There are so many pretty spots to photograph! I am more used to taking outfit photos in the countryside, so it’s been taking me a bit of getting used to take photos in the street with an audience. This coat made an appearance on my blog this time last year – the post is here! It is definitely in my top 5 favourite coats. I found it in the man’s section of Dolly Mix Vintage in Leicester, so I feel like all those years of browsing the men’s section in vintage shops finally paid off. I’m blogging about this coat again because 1. It’s awesome, so I think it deserves a second blog post 2. I’m trying to promote slow fashion! It’s unsustainable and unrealistic to always blog new clothes, and 3. I can’t afford to buy new clothes anyway. I’m making a conscious effort at the moment to mostly blog about things I already own. If you’re a blogger and you’re up for a challenge, why don’t you join me?

I spent Saturday afternoon hanging out with the loveliest of ladies – Laila from Tape Parade and Bel from Rags of Love! We went for a coffee, had lunch, took outfit photos and then went for tea and cake. It was a very food and drink based afternoon! Unfortunately, by the time we’d finished lunch it was getting dark and my little camera took mostly very blurry photos (damn you British winter!) I did get this fun one of us all taking pictures of each other taking photos though. So cool. I’m sad that I didn’t get any photos of their beautiful faces, so you should stalk their blogs for some better pictures. Bel blogs about her personal style (which is awesome and techni-coloured!) and Laila blogs mostly about her life and the cool things that she gets up to. They’re two of the blogs that I check almost daily, so it was so fun to be able to hang out with them in the flesh for a whole afternoon, and I’m hoping that we do it again sometime soon. Also, I am a fairly tall lady so it was strange hanging out with other girls and being the shortest. I’m not used to it!
