Pretty buildings in Edinburgh
The sunset over Edinburgh
Going on walks at home in Leicestershire
I haven’t posted on here for a little while now. It’s probably the longest blog break I’ve had in a year! This month has been a big month for me. I moved and I’m now living in Edinburgh! I moved up a couple of weeks ago and celebrated James’ birthday here with some uni friends. I’ve been making the most of having James around before he moves to London and we’ve been cooking a lot, going on walks, decorating the flat and watching a lot (a lot) of Netflix. We even caught some shows at the fringe festival! It’s been strange living life relatively unplugged for a little while. I guess it’s good to have a break every now and again, but I also feel like I’ve gone back in time to before this blog (and Twitter, and Instagram) was a part of my life, when I only checked my emails like once a week. In other new I’ve now finished watching Angel, The Office (US) and Firefly, and I’ve started watching Breaking Bad! I’ve been crocheting for Shop Jessthetics and I like to have some TV on in the background
The other day I took a walk to the top of the crags next to Arthurs Seat whilst the sun was setting and took some of the best photos I’ve ever taken. Edinburgh was misty and the sunset was bright orange, so the buildings and the castle looked like they were peeking out from an orange sea. I was going to share them in this post but my computer has somehow deleted them and I think I’ve lost them forever. Why is losing photos so upsetting sometimes?
Jessthetics has been a little quieter than usual but I’ve shared lots from my holiday to Corfu, including a rainbow crochet outfit, a poppy print twosie and my adventures in Old Perithia. I also wore a cute little dress from Neema crafts and a patchwork inspired outfit on the blog this month. I showed you how to make vegan orange tiffin, and what my dream house would look like!
I start my course next week. I’m both nervous and extremely excited, so wish me luck!
